App works ok but does not allow you to exit to screen saver while video is recording. Background recording is turned on . Want to be able to go to screen saver to.minimize power use but still be recording. Why is so hard to do... ?
Seemed like a good app. Free and easy to use. However, we got struck by another car yesterday and when I reviewed the app videos, there was no video capture of the impact. There were saved videos right before the accident and right after the accident, but no capture of the actual accident. Not sure why this happened, but the app failed when I needed it the most.
This could be five stars, but it took a little while to set up to my liking, but my biggest gripe is that it sometimes starts up without my asking. In fact, even while writing this review, it has started up seven times. This has a detrimental effect on my battery. I do like that it works well in the back ground, but I dislike file management - it's not possible to multiple select. If it is, I don't know how. I may still uninstall and try something else yet.
Doesn't work well on Android 12, it creates new video files everytime you put the app on background or you bring it to front. Video recording works fine with other apps. Seems this one is not updated for a long time.
When I start recording it starts recording but after having the very important conversation that needed to be recorded I open the app and it says "Failed to initialize camera" This is really bad. It has done it several times now. If I decrease the file length to 10 seconds then it fails much faster, so its seems to be some kind og storage error. I got plenty of storage though
Excellent
This used to work great for many years. I used this app as a dashcam literally every day and it actually saved me from being found "at fault" for a car accident since I had the whole thing on video. Unfortunately, ever since upgrading to Android 14, the app shuts down after a couple minutes of recording. I really hope they fix this issue, but until then I'll have to find a different dashcam app.
Excellent App! Complete with map tracking
I previously gave this app 3 stars and the person responding to my comments a sarcastic time and it was uncalled for. I've had enough time with the app to say it really does work, one feature is saving to SD card, and there are many user adjustable settings, if it continues to perform as well as it has I will come back and recommend donating to turn off ads. It is a good looking, user friendly app.
